Economics and appearance of a high energy consumption of buildings – myths and facts
Josef Chybík
The aim of this article is to provide information about a problematic areas that take place during preparation, construction and occupancy of energy efficient buildings. Basis are current conditions for use of energy sources, general conditions and a pricing demands of construction, relationship of window glazing and a method of ventilation and finally issues of esthetic appereance of the building with a low thermal consumption.
The impact of point thermal bridges in mounting components accross the thermal insulation
Roman Šubrt
The point thermal bridges are still neglected. In the article, there is a summary of point thermal bridges in rafter thermal insulation.
Reporting Damages 2010 – lessons learnt. Characteristic sources for damage during construction, materials, joints and installation
Martin Heßler
Whilst lecturing the Thermal Protection of Buildings (TOB) article, we have come accross the presentation focusing on presence of defects on windows in Germany. The presentation was by Dipl. Ing. Hessler from IFT Rosenheim, and it was presented during the conference, organised by this institute in 2011. The presentation was as interesting as we have equired an agrément for publishing it in the TOB journal. IFT Rosenheim agreed and the presentation is published.

Experimental temperature measurement in the window sill
Marek Zozulák, Dušan Katunský
This paper presents results of a temperature measurement in a window sill of the variant opaque wall in experimental chamber. The research demonstrates an impact of unsteady natural environment on temperature according to the chosen methodology. Temperature values determine using real boundary conditions to reach an optimal design.

Results of calculation accuracy analyses of heated floor thermal flow according to ČSN EN ISO 13370:2009. Standard calculation was compared with a more accurate calculation usind 3D model in a programme Comsol. Differences in results of both methods were thereafter evaluated, depending on selection of different parameters (ie. floor plan dimensions and thickness of thermal insulation).
Experimental results for diffusion properties of several types of nanotextiles
Petr Kučera, Jaroslav Řehánek
Measurement results for coefficient of diffusion conductivity, thermal resistance factor and an equivalent thickness of air cushion of several types of nanotextiles are mentioned in this article.
