Method for determination of a specific capacity of water vapour in construction materials

Description of a methods for determination of specific (relative) capacity of water vapour in construction materials, a quantity needed to solve moisture problems in construction structures in time-variable conditions. The described method differs from Fokin's graphic illustration by further application of analytical methods. The results are shown in an example.
 
Thermo-technical design of gradient layers in flat rous created by thermal insulation

Thermo-technical design and comparison of methods for a heat penetration coefficient in case of compositions of flat roofs with use of segments made of thermal insulating materials in gradient layers. There is further compared a method, used for calculation of heat penetration coefficient (U-value).

Thermal insulation is still on the increase

Impact of crisis on the construction sector, shows continuously increasing trends. The need for decrease in CO2 emissions and higher energy efficiency of buildings, remain in favour for the thermal insulation of buildings. There will be grants and incentives for year 2012, available for this purpose, in particular the Green savings programme. The critical beginning of year 2013 will need to be overcome by using the available financial incentives, available from EU funds.

In October 2011, a revision to ČSN 73 0540-2 was issued for Thermal protection of buildings – Part 2: Requirements. The revision replaced the norm with the same name, dated April 2007. Authors are Jan Tywoniak and Zbyněk Svoboda in cooperation with Tomáš Matuška. Changes, introduced by the revision of this norm require at least brief additions to the Comments, dated 2008. Direct quotations from the previous norm are not valid anymore. The content for the requirements remain either the same, or is changed regarding to the subsequent addition to the Comments.

The process of certification of products is always governed by normative documents, that should clearly and concisely determine methods of tests and their evaluation. This is the case for thermal insulating systems. Nevertheless, the exact methodology could cover number of variations and interesting details that often determine large (competitive) advantage. Regulations for thermal insulating systems assessment are very variable, they are being constantly updated and improved. In addition to the above, the article describes news and interest in this discipline.
